Michael “Mikey” Kayvon Maleki is a Berkeley, Calif-based multi-instrumentalist [guitar, winds, synthesis, keys, drums], composer, producer, and sound designer. Working at the intersection of acoustic and digital technologies, his practice centers on improvisation and reactive processes, with life experience and natural aesthetics serving as the guiding principles. He has created original scores and sound design for film, television, commercials, software, games, and dance. He has performed in venues, clubs, and galleries across North America, including Los Angeles, New York, and Montreal.

Slack : Huddles [Audio Brand: Music and Sound Effects]

I collaborated closely with Slack to develop a comprehensive audio ecosystem for Huddles, their video call and co-working platform. The collection includes ambient music and UI sound effects that align with Slack's brand while establishing a distinctive sonic character.
Users can choose from carefully curated soundscapes: lo-fi house beats for focused work, field recordings from the Northern California coastline for calm, and bossa nova-inspired compositions that bring energy without overwhelming. Each sound guides users naturally through their workflow, enhancing productivity and presence while offering something for every work style and mood.
