Kayvon Maleki
Michael “Mikey” Kayvon Maleki is a Berkeley, Calif-based multi-instrumentalist [guitar, winds, synthesis, keys, drums], composer, producer, and sound designer. Working at the intersection of acoustic and digital technologies, his practice centers on improvisation and reactive processes, with life experience and natural aesthetics serving as the guiding principles. He has created original scores and sound design for film, television, commercials, software, games, and dance. He has performed in venues, clubs, and galleries across North America, including Los Angeles, New York, and Montreal.

UI Sound
As intercom was developing the new iteration of their customer messaging software they reached out to Mikey to explore some audio concepts that would represent the new messenger. Together, they constructed an ecosystem of functional & unique product sounds that reflect the value and vision of the brand while creating a sonic foundation and identity to further build on in the future.
